Counselling in Mount Gambier for Children, Adolescents & Adults
Limestone Coast Counselling provides professional, evidence-based counselling in Mount Gambier and the Limestone Coast region.
I support children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, emotional overwhelm, family changes, and life transitions. Therapy offers a confidential, structured space to better understand patterns, build practical coping skills, and move toward meaningful change.
About Daisy
I am an Accredited Counsellor (Australian Counselling Association) with a Master of Counselling and a Master of Arts in English Literature.
My clinical training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I am currently undertaking advanced training in Schema Therapy. This allows me to support clients with both immediate concerns such as anxiety and emotional regulation, as well as deeper, longstanding patterns of self-criticism, relationship difficulties, and core beliefs.
I take an integrative, evidence-informed approach tailored to each client’s needs. While therapeutic techniques are important, I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is central to effective counselling.
My background in English Literature informs my interest in bibliotherapy — using story, metaphor, and narrative to help clients make sense of their experiences and develop self-understanding.
Areas of Experience
I provide counselling for:
Children and adolescents
Adults experiencing anxiety or life transitions
Neurodivergent children, including autism
Emotional regulation difficulties
Family separation and relationship changes
Self-esteem and identity development
I work collaboratively with parents and caregivers, recognising the important role families play in supporting a child’s emotional wellbeing.
Working With Neurodivergent Children
I have particular experience supporting neurodivergent children and young people. Therapy is adapted to suit individual communication styles, sensory needs, emotional processing, and pace. Sessions may include play-based strategies, visual supports, regulation skills, and parent collaboration.
Therapy Dog – Dobby 🐾
Dobby, my toy cavoodle therapy dog, is available in sessions for children who may benefit from additional comfort and support. Animal-assisted elements of therapy can help reduce anxiety, support emotional regulation, and increase engagement. Interaction with Dobby is always optional and child-led.
Professional Standards
I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and work within their ethical framework. I participate in regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to ensure my practice remains ethical, reflective, and evidence-informed.
